    Dress Code

    Photographed in Atlanta, GA

Noteworthy: though not consistently cool yet in the south, dressing for the weather while hinting at the season with burgundy bow tie and boat shoes (a defining color this fall/winter). Transition from summer to fall with select summer pieces in autumn's color palette.

Fred, I’m loving the entire look; the fit of the shirt, the muted colors, and especially the signature belt. I also wanted to add that the titles of your posts are always perfectly clever.

One question: When is it time to put the topsiders away for the season?

Ah. Yes. This is very well thought out dressing at its best.

Next time you’re in ATL, check out DREW/LEWIS. Its like a younger SID and they have great brands like Michael Bastian for GANT, APC, Baron Wells, Rag and Bone, What Goes Around…, and Jack Spade… its a cool place

This would be great on a weekend with a pink or blue shirt and some monk straps to shake things up a bit. I will do this come Saturday with my new R u g b y shorts . I have a black shirt with little white flowers on it with varying light blue and red middles (the part of the flower escapes me) what bowtie can I wear with it?

This is a look I am also seeing around town in Austin, Texas. I think it’s very fun and a good look for our so-called fall weather (aka 85 degrees)

Your shorts are about 5” too long for the south.  Nice frames though - are they Moscot?

    Just perfect.  Love the outfit.

Absolutely flawless! Is that the L.L Bean belt? Great Picture!

Nice Outfit, the watchstrap adds a little contrast colour.

I also wear my burgundy boat shoes today, but with a dark denim and a navy/burgundy Rugbyshirt.

I love this! After reading your Tweets about “dressing for the weather, hinting at the season” it’s on my mind every time I get dressed now. And this morning it’s a bit cooler in Georgia!

    Love the burgundy.
