    @Paul—These sunglasses are more than likely made by American Optical.  Tortoise shell frame, in either the “True color Polaroid tc74-51” or “Cabana TS 2505” model.

    As the father of a young girl, I have to say that these pictures of JFK with Caroline are just wonderful.  Yes, there were problems in the Kennedy family.  Yes, you can take issue with JFK’s politics.  At the heart of it, though, this is a beautiful picture of a little girl and her daddy at an age when kids still believe in magic.  The fact that we know he will be taken from her in just three months (and she doesn’t) makes it that much more heart-wrenching.

    ...and the style is impeccable.
