Just You & Me, Kid
As a father of two boys nearly 16 months apart, I am rarely afforded the opportunity to spend time with them individually. I believe that is an important aspect to parenting—one-on-one time with each child. Their identity shouldn’t always be wrapped up in birth order. Sometimes I want my sons to simply feel like they each have my undivided attention...to genuinely feel I care about what’s going on in their little world. Jonah—my youngest—and I did just that last weekend in bonding over burgers, bowling a couple of frames, and hitting up a Rangers ballgame. We capped it off my shooting some photographs for his mom. Of course, I had to get a father & son shot.
Noteworthy: (me) Spexclub tortoise shell eyeglasses, Kiel James Patrick sailing belt, Rugby fisherman sweater, Smart Turnout watchstrap; (Jonah) cotton/linen Pochette Square pocket hanky (as he calls them), denim jacket.

It’s a lot easier to admire talented people when they are a great example of having priorities in order! Style + substance gets you everywhere. Love this photo.

Great pictures! I must compliment you for both your style and an excellent website. And as a father of four, I couldn`t agree more: It is so important to have one-on-one time with your children.

Off topic, but I noticed that you don’t have “The Rake” in your study, why is that? Also next weekend I will be attending a polo match here in my neck of the woods, email me if you would like me to send you some usable photos.

@FEC I haven’t seen a picture of your wife on the blog, will she be making an appearance at all?

Cool pic…I also dig the sweater (though I don’t care for the manufactured/faux ‘wear’)...

I love the fit of the navy chinos you’re wearing. Where are they from?

@Levi—I am 30.
@Desmond K—The sun faded patina of the sweater was designed this way by the guys at Rugby. It looks and feels like it was unearthed in the attic.

Is that natural distressing on the sweater or was it purchased that way? Either way its spot on (but way cooler if it was natural).
