Maybe I’m in the minority here, but I really like this outfit. Great mixture of colors, and very well proportioned, I can see this being worn on a casual Friday most definitely. If you took the jacket off, the whole outfit would fall apart and look really sloppy though. Keep the creativity coming Castleberry, thinking outside the box is why I’m such a big fan of the ‘Street Etiquette’ guys

Just a point of order. Georgetown ie. Washington, D.C. is nice but definitely not northeastern. As JFK famously put it, “...northern hospitality with southern efficiency.”

And if you don’t see a pair of Randolph Engineering Sunglasses that you want in our shop, we can fulfill custom orders if you are looking for a specific frame style/color, lens color/size, glass or PC lens, and temple style!

@Kal—I was visiting Georgetown for a little work, a little play. Love it there.
@Zack—My sweater vest is Rugby.
@AEV—I’m putting that one on you…I need to be invited. I announce all over Twitter that I am in D.C. (get on Twitter if you are not already). Next time I’m In town email, tweet me…something, and we’ll make it happen.
@Damon—You guessed it, Georgetown. It’s my new favorite town in the northeast.
@mjl & Justin—It is not summer anymore. And this particular day/morning it was 70 degrees or so.
@Josh—My sunglasses are gold aviators by Randolph Engineering. You can pick them up at the men’s shop WHARF, online.
@e, Luis Alcaraz & Elizabeth—My saddles are by Cole Haan. Designed with Nike Air, they are extremely comfortable.
@robdarko—As is the rule on blazers, sportcoats, waistcoats, vests and cardigans, always leave the bottom button undone. As for the top button, that is a personal style call.
@Paul & Style + Conformity—These khakis are by Rugby (1 yr old). And yes, they are some of the better fitting pair I run around in. Stay away from a break in the hem to keep them sharp and clean though.

you are unabashedly preppy and unabashedly manly, handsome and sexy. well preppy and sexy are kind of synonymous in my mind. love the saddle shoes!

F.E.- How and why are you so unabashedly sharp? You never dissapoint after a dismally unfashionable day in a uniformed school.
À bientôt,
Sophie

This outfit isn’t my FAVORITE, but would it be a head-turner on the street? For me, yes :)

What brought you to my neck of the woods? Georgetown is one of my favorite places.

Dig it. If you wanted to go one more mix, you should add a pocket square in some random print (either floral or a print with small random animals like gold fish).

Nicely done! The vest is superb. I know I always ask this but - who makes it?
Cheers

Looking great Fred… but isn’t it still a bit steamy for that kit?

Young Man - Pulling it off once again. Too much analysis, bad - feelin’ it, very good. Damn the torpedos, it works ...

best rigging BY FAR in a really, really long time. i love how you incorporated a vest into the ensemble (something that i found conspicuously absent from the Dress Code posts in the last couple months) and utilized a ton of colors and textures.
great shades top the look off (along w/ the fact that you’re in my favorite location in the U.S.). keep it up fred!

Great look!!! I really want to know where I can get a pair of shoes like those?? Everything looks great!

Personally, I think it’s great when people are willing to subject themselves to the same scrutiny as everyone else featured in their style blogs. If they don’t live up to their own sartorial standards, they oughtn’t to be blogging about them in the first place.

Great. Say Hello to early autumn. I like the vest and the mixture of patterns and materials. Real prep!

i still don’t have the audacity to pull off the vest, though this gray number w/ blue blazer looks pretty sharp. FEC tell us you stopped off at the Tombs.

Heck yeah!! All I want in this world is for it to be fall already. Mixing and matching a ridiculous amount of patterns and textures is what it’s all about.

Doesn’t Mr. Castleberry always look fly? There is a strange beauty in mixing patterns and textures.

the plaid shirt is really nice. this is another ensemble that reminds me of sid mashburn’s story about his sisters boyfriends. seemed like southern prep versions of italian playboys. you look good.

Congrats. I see Valet featured this post. Kicking around Georgetown? That pink building is unmistakable.

How in the world were you able to pull this off in the summer? i would’ve overheat faster than my old jeep with that much clothing on!

Thats a great vest / jacket combo. What about the sunglasses? Make, model?

Fred—Just curious… what kind of chinos are those? The fit looks pretty great, and they seem like they’d be great pants to knock around in…
