    Personally, I think that everyone featured on UP always looks brilliant. You can tell that they take pride in their appearance, have individual style, and make an effort to look their best each day. What could be wrong with that? :-)

    Fred,
    What size (in mm) are your Randolph aviators? Thanks.

    When I popped in to get my daily Unbashedly Prep fix and saw those pants, I almost yelled “WAR EAGLE”.  I love them.  A coworker and I agreed that we both need a pair to wear on Fridays.  I’m being serious, not catty.  We work in an office of Bama fans that think the universe revolves around the Crimson Tide.  I love your blog.  Keep up the good work.

    You know, although I hate orange, particularly safety orange, with a passion, this is probably the only decent way I’ve seen it worn that isn’t meant for road construction or hunting. Nicely done.

    Do tell what all it is that you’re carrying in such a massive bag?

    Brilliant.

    Remember when “costumey” was the buzzword around UP? This is bold and creative while being nothing of the sort, and I love it.

    This is awesome. This outfit is balanced so well.

    They wouldn’t happen to make those pants in a 32x38? ...a guy can dream.

    I know that school in the background. Only a few blocks from my apartment.

    What a bag you have there.

    @AEV—I had my hands on Lotuff & Clegg’s trunk duffle…it is a brilliant bag for travel by train/car.  This is indeed the same vintage blazer…quite a difference one button can make indeed.

    @Tito—Though I do condone pocket squares, I rarely wear them with my navy gold button blazer to maintain the schoolboy aesthetic.

    @Aaron—This blazer is a vintage piece I picked up for $8.  You can get a brand new one at Polo for $1000…or start hitting the Salvation Army thrifts.

    @robdarko—I would consider these trousers a Go-To-Hell hue solely based on the stares and looks garnered on the streets of NYC.

    @Michael—The aviators are Randolph Engineering.

    @Francesco—This blazer is vintage.

    @Laguna Beach Fogey—A pair of Persols would indeed also look tops.  As far as modeling goes…I have one decent side at best. I need more of a jaw line.

    @JMW—The orange corduroy trousers are Gant by Michael Bastian.

    That bag is gorgeous - I’ve been coveting their trunk duffle bag for a while now. Check out Glaser Designs if you like L&C’s stuff.

    Is that the same vintage blazer from a few posts ago? Amazing what a difference an unbuttoned button can make…

    nice look! takes some big ones to wear those pants, but you pull it off well, i also like the bag. great look.

    This is a what I’m talking about sir, btw how come I never seen you rocking pocket squares? in my promotion that is a very important accessory, it’s like the finishing touches, Bless!

    Aaron left a comment on 10/14/2010 at 8:58 AM:

    I wore the same outfit the other day. Good stuff. I was rocking a three-button navy blazer though. Where can I get my hands on a decent 2-button?

    Great combination and coordination. I really liked this picture. The sunglasses are Ray-Ban Caravan I think.

    How very audacious, F.E.C.  Well done.  Would does be considered GTH pants due to color?

    @Laguna Beach Fogey – “… trendy 3/2 roll…”?  What?  Really?

    @Pat S – Orange and navy are my signature combo.  We have good taste.

    Just awesome! As I always say, FEC, you should consider a job as a model, and I’m not talking Zoolander-style.

    Love the blazer (kudos for not rocking the trendy 3/2 roll here), trousers, and loafers.

    The duffle bag looks amazing and I’m going to check out the L&C website right now.

    A pair of Persol sunglasses would look SOOO much better than the aviators you have on.

    Love the combination; orange and blue are a longtime favorite of mine.

    MW left a comment on 10/14/2010 at 7:52 AM:

    Hits all the right notes for me, even with the daring pants.  To my eye the blazer looks so much better rolled to 2 than buttoned up.  And the duffle . . . just beautiful.  Superb.

    JMW left a comment on 10/14/2010 at 7:45 AM:

    I really like the orange trousers(PRL?)and I prefer a two button blazer just as JFK did.
