The Best New Designer In America 2010
"Every man should own a navy blazer." —Billy Reid

The best new designer in America is a southern dandy in the heart of Manhattan (you are already aware of this if you follow Unabashedly Prep on twitter). Well, sort of. Billy Reid started out in Florence, Alabama six years ago and has brought his whiskey-soaked aesthetic to the Big Apple on Bond Street. This is actually Reid’s second time around the CFDA block (he was awarded with the same honor in 2001 under his William Reid moniker before 9/11 sabotaged his burgeoning growth). I'll drink to that three-piece suit on the right.

I haven’t noticed that there’s a man and a baby on the mirror. This picture is full of surprises.

I agree that every man (and well dressed woman, as I’d like to think of myself) needs to own a navy blazer (I have 2). Love the photo, I also have black and white oxfords like those pictured. Classic yet chic.

I like this picture! They all have a very interesting look. I’m loving those spectator shoes on 2 of the models there!

I fully agree with Mr. Reid’s statement about the blue blazer….... I’d love to find a nice one that isn’t $700 though

Yes that light grey three-piece suit with the white pocket square and the white button details are definitely worth drinking to!

“Every man should own a navy blazer”. What a genius. Fashion that will not last.
