‘Red’ done right. VRODJack pegs it perfectly. Well said. -Andy, I concur. These dudes are making the effort and that’s what counts. -Looked like a great wedding!

I think he looks grand. I particularly like his bow tie.

The difference between the this and the previous posts, in my mind, is that this is a relatively older gentlemen who does not have a particularly flattering build. He doesn’t need to have everything perfect because it would not look right if it were. The previous two men, especially the first, look sloppy due to their ill-fitting attire. Most men over the age of sixty probably are not scouring the pages of GQ and style blogs and trying to pull off the looks they see.

I don’t get how you all can rip the other guy with reds to shreds and not comment on this fine gent’s puddly trousers and a bit long-in-the-sleeves blazer. I think neither gent has everything textbook perfect, but both look great.
Of course I’m going to hang out with this older gent rather than Mr. Smirk any day.

Beautiful picture. Everything’s so nice from the gentleman to what’s behind him, everything. I Liked this!

If the two previous gentlemen took tips on how to put yourself together like this seasoned pro maybe they would be happier?! This guy nails the look and makes me take note.

Well, hide his face and he’s looking (as bad) as the other. I, though, think this series of photos is simply amazing.

I’m so sure we will all refrain from any biting comments about Uncle Sam or suffer a whack from the cane…
Tuck/Laguna, the difference between Uncle Sam and Horse Bit may be the finish on the red pants. Seems to me that this gentleman has dressed for the occasion in Brooks Brothers while Horse Bit threw on a blazer over his utility reds and slipped into leather loafers. IMHO, they both wear it very well.

This gentlemen is who I’d like to share a drink with instead of the other two stiffs…stylish, great attitude…probably has some good stories to tell as well.

This man could wear burlap and make it look fashionable. It is the trifecta of the drink, cane and smile that catch my eye. The cane shows a man unwilling to quit. A man with many places to go and people to see. That smile of his is probably the same smile he flashed when the papers announced that WWII was over and the boys were coming home. He grinned like that when Neil Armstrong walked on the moon…..when his favorite team took the penant, the cup, the trophy….He’s earned that drink and a flock of young men to listen to his stories.
Perhaps a young lady on his arm…smiling

Nice! This is how the old boys roll. Rocking it in reds and navy blazer. Where are the ,cuffs?
For some reason (can’t put my finger on it) this fellow looks a hell of a lot better than the young guy in similar kit from a few days ago.

1000% better than the gentleman with a similar look from days before. It’s is not all slim and shrunken, but his proportions are well done and with the drink and hand and the carefree smile he remembers that style is about the person, not the clothes.

Love, love this look! I bet he’s a great story teller, he seems so carefree.
