White Lie

Photographed in Atlanta, GA
Noteworthy: white Levi 501's before Memorial Day and twisted tie (all after a game of football in the parking lot).

Cool! Did he fray his jeans himself or can you buy them that way? Someone out there let me know and thanks!

The white rule only pertains to shoes, as explained to me by the Old Guard. Then again, I am in the South Florida area and we wear white year round. We just call it, Winter White.

^^What Trip said. It’s about Easter, not Memorial Day.

Laguna Beach, I’m assuming you’re kidding right? He likely picked up some shirts from being tailored and was headed home. That’s right outside Sid’s store.

Unimpressive. Who brings his drycleaning to a football game?

Finally…a picture of the only man who should be wearing a tie twist. lol. I had to. Great pic, I love the cut off. I almost wish he cut them just slightly higher to show a bit more ankle. But he is a Southern icon.

@Matt—Sid’s 501s are frayed from being cut off.

@ F.E. - Are Sid’s jeans frayed at the bottom or just turned up?

What a good and interesting picture is this! Sid and the other man both look great! I own the same pair of Salvatore Ferragmo shoes the guy in the shorts is wearing. They are excellent shoes and he knows how to wear them and Sid’s outfit is smashing.

@The Boss—Like I mentioned above…we just finished a game of parking lot football.

Sid is in dire need of a trip to the barber.

I really need to make a pilgrimage down to Sid Mashburn.

In the South, Easter marks the traditional day that white and seersucker can be worn. Farther up the east coast, Memorial Day marks the occasion.

Note the timepiece the gentleman in the shorts is wearing. It compliments his footwear perfectly.

@Jed—That frayed hem is a do-it-yourself job. Cut…wash…hang dry.
