I love her jacket, and the bag is awesome—I own some recycled handbags made of various materials so I’m glad to see others with the same.

the military jacket is clutch and the bag is inspirational fashionista. well done cass! you’re so fall right now.

Overall, not too shabby. But the brogues really don’t suit her, at all. I’m definitely into women embracing brogues, but Cassandra might want to look into another style.

  • Making Out

    Miscellany

The fall semester is in full swing as kids return to class after a home-beckoning Thanksgiving holiday. I like this photograph by Tim Walker for Aquascutum. It captures an ideal; championing you to reach for your essential navy blazer and face the elements, love, and mid-terms—or maybe just your class reunion.

Just learned that though Pres. Abraham Lincoln is credited with this and which he did say it, it was originally stated by Pres. George Washington: http://wilstar.com/holidays/wash_thanks.html
What is also interesting is that this Thanksgiving fell on Nov. 26th as well.
Love reading this blog great ideas and thoughts!

Lauren is one the nicest, most sincere women I know… She exudes elegance, timeless beauty and an amazing wit you seldom find….

Her style references her sensibility, perfectly…effortless…

The Boss—Corduroy cut-off shorts in a fine-wale (8” inseam) would be worth checking into for the guys.

Cord shorts work for the ladies but look ridic on men.

S.N.—Definitely hop on the cuffed cord shorts. It’s one of my favorite elements of Lauren’s look.

Another shining example of why/how girls should wear brogues. Makes me want cord shorts, for certain.
