Photographer Sergei Sviatchenko is at it again with a new collection of images that showcase the youthful, Ivy-League inspired style that Unabashedly Prep condones. I’ve curated my favorite images from Sergei’s spring/summer 2010 collection here but you can check out the entire collection at Close Up and Private. Look for bleeding madras to pop up from more designers this summer. It’s such a good fun, light fabric to play around with. Experiment with some of these looks yourself...be inspired.

Get to know more about Sergei in a recent interview at Dry Goods & Assorted Sundries.

Simba: From talking to Sergei I have the impression they’re from his own collection. If so, his wardrobe is pretty damn impressive.

The striped tie shot is my favourite. I love the pen complementing the navy and green.

There should be more of her advertising for Rugby clothing.

L.A.S.—She was on her work so I’ll have to get her next time I’m in town.

Ahhh, it’s your cable knit. Did you buy her a free drink like you said you were going to?

The combination of her deeply saturated purple sweater and her rich brown hair is a pairing made in heaven. Beautiful!

Purple! Such a royal hue. Tis about time purple is given it’s due time in the spotlight!
If you read this blog, you should buy Vampire Weekend’s sophomore effort. You previewed Contra last week—now it’s time to tuck this upbeat gem into your iTunes library and hit repeat. You’ll really thank me come, oh...say June 21st, the first day of summer. This is a summer album. An endless-summer-in-California album...make no mistake about it.

Love the tux-shirt mixed with tweed, crowned by the Ascot! Lately, we had a flowering discussion on our blog about the latter accessory, which unfortunately doesn’t get the attention it deserves nowadays.
Unfortunately, it’s in swedish, so you guys will probably not understand a word. Give it a minute and watch some pictures though: http://thedronesclub.wordpress.com/2010/01/10/hur-man-knyter-en-plastrong/
Cheers!

A shining endorsement of desert boots worn with shorts. Brilliant.
