Tretorn Paint Drip Nylites
Tretorn—the 120 year-old Swedish footwear brand—recently invited me to again participate in their ongoing Nylite Project. In conjunction with the new color-ways and fabrics Tretorn will be rolling out over the next year, they requested I customize my own pair of classic Nylite canvas sneakers*. I was inspired by the odd jobs I’d perform around house during my early teens. One summer in particular, my dad had me paint our white picket fence. By the time I finished the second coat, my old sneakers were covered in white paint. Instead of crying over spilt...paint, I just wore them as a badge of honor the rest of the summer.
